One Church, Two Locations
Green Acres South provides an alternative campus for people to worship, study, and be involved in spiritual growth in a smaller setting closer to home while retaining all the benefits of being a part of the larger Green Acres family.
As a part of Green Acres Baptist Church, Green Acres South exists to extend the message of the Gospel of Christ and to minister to the families of South Tyler and southern Smith and northern Cherokee counties. Families from Whitehouse, Flint, Jacksonville, Bullard, Emerald Bay, Tyler, and all points in between call Green Acres South home.
True to historical form, Green Acres is among the pioneers utilizing this emerging concept for ministry. Green Acres South is a unique way to be involved at an exciting time in the life of the Church. Whether you are new to the Tyler area or have been here for years, whether you are actively looking for a church home or just curious, we encourage you to join us for worship this Sunday. You'll be glad you did!
Each Sunday we hear sermons by Dr. David Dykes at South Campus via live feed from the Main Campus. You might want to think about saving some time and some gas and enjoy the same-day live feed presentation via large screen of the Sunday morning message at 10:30 a.m. at GABC South, on South 69 just north of Hwy 346.
Your Questions Answered:
Is the music the same as Green Acres main campus?
No. Our music is led by Gary Jordan, and he is accompanied by instrumentalists. Gary blends contemporary worship songs with traditional worship songs. We enjoy an uninterrupted worship set to offer the opportunity to adore our King.
I'm already a member at Green Acres. Do I have to "join" GABC South?
No. A member is a member is a member. GABC members who choose to get involved in the South Campus do so simply by transferring their Sunday School class and vice versa.
What time does Sunday service begin?
Sunday Morning Bible Study is at 9:15 a.m. and Worship is at 10:30 a.m.
